Flight delays cost the global economy more than $60B annually in increased operating costs and lost productivity. Lumo’s predictive analytics give businesses and travellers the power to proactively manage and minimize the impact of flight disruptions.

Lumo's unique "delay index" predictive technology provides a powerful tool to improve travel management, but they needed a smart user interface and fluid user experience to make those insights understandable and accessible to their customers.

As this was a brand new product, we started off with a comprehensive process of info architecture and user flows to define the app's complex data structures and user goals. We then meticulously explored the user experience in low-fidelity wireframes before completing UI designs for all processes, variations, and responsive breakpoints, ensuring accuracy in product development.

Lumo's flagship Navigator business app required an extensive array of data types and visualisations. From flight and itinerary data, weather, delay history & prediction, airports, travellers, flight delay risk/score, mapping, charts & graphs, searching & filtering, flight tracking, and more. I created a robust and consistent design language and typography system that makes it easy to recognise and interact with each distinct data type.
