For approximately 50 years, students from tribes across New Zealand have assembled at the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute to learn time-honoured traditions in danger of being lost forever. I created a responsive web design to bring these traditional practices to a modern audience.
Epic projects & global exhibits
In addition to training those young and old in the traditional Māori arts and crafts, NZMACI is responsible for many large-scale projects and travelling international exhibits that showcase Māori arts to the word. Their website style and layouts intentionally cast off the often over-used Māori motifs and instead present their schools and projects in a contemporary light.
I hand-coded each page to adapt expertly to any screen size so you can learn about NZMACI's educational efforts and inspiring projects from your preferred device.
